Barbara Ann Wagner (Kandera)

Age 90, of Mooresville NC, formerly of State College and Cecil Twp PA, passed away on June 19th, 2026.

Barbara was the beloved wife of Bobby D. Hinson and the late Col. Keith A. Wagner (US Army Ret), Loving mother of Ann-Margaret Wagner (Eddie Lubic) the late Keith "K.J." Wagner, and adoring Granddaughter of Lacy Wagner Lubic, all of Mooresville, NC. She traveled the world extensively as an Army wife where she was active with military officer's groups and taught elementary education abroad.

Barb graduated from Cecil Twp. HS in 1955 and Carlow College in Pittsburgh where she was honored as Miss Milk Maid in 1959. She received her master's degree from Penn State in "Master Gardening" landscaping and was active in local design programs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Stephen and Anna Kandera of Cecil Twp, PA who owned and managed a 156-acre farm where Barbara grew up.

Surviving are loving cousins Joan Hammel of Tequesta FL; Bette John of McMurray, PA. Paul and Don Stitch of Pittsburgh, PA; John Stitch of Irwin PA, and other caring nieces and nephews.

For many years Barbara was the successful owner of two "Fashion Classics" Ladies Boutiques in State College, PA.

Barbara exited this world leaving so many cherished memories and traditions. She frequented her daughter Ann-Margaret's Restaurant, Eddie's on Lake Norman where there is a garden in honor; and was very active in local Bridge clubs where she met Bobby, her current husband of 8 years. Bobby Hinson was more than the 2nd love of her life and did a lot of traveling until her debilitating disease took over; He was her dedicated caregiver during all the years of her illness along with Tanya and Caesar her other aides.

Barb Wagner was a very giving person, in 2012, she financed and orchestrated the major improvement to St Mary's (Cecil Twp. PA) cemetery which the Wagner Family had previously donated to the church .

Friends will be received from 8:30-9:30 AM on Friday, June 26 at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Rd., Cecil, PA 15321, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 AM, followed by Christian Funeral Mass held at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 10 St. Mary Lane, Cecil.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
