Dorotha Jeanne Carothers

Dorotha Jeanne Carothers, 88 years old of Beaver, Formerly of Gilmore, Cecil Twp. died Monday, January 16, 2017 in Heritage Valley, Beaver.

She was born, September 6, 1928 in Luzerne, PA, daughter of the late Walter and Thelma McClure Carter.

She was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church, and Cecil #3 Ladies Auxiliary.

She worked at the former RCA, Meadowlands, and was an office manager of Product Development, Incorporated and Donnelly Directory Distribution Centers. She enjoyed baking cakes and candy, was a seamstress and saleswoman and multiple award winner for Toy Lady Corporation Home Party

Surviving are Daughters, Pamela (Dan) Maniecki of Bentleyville, Lorie (Vince) Macioge of Rockingham, NC, Lisa (Donnie) Garber of Greer, SC, Ricki (Greg) Paul of Beaver, 9 grandchildren, Richard Horvath, Jennifer (David) Kuntch, Josh, Adam (Whitney), and Emily Franco, Justin (Mena) and Sarah Garber, Rhyan and Jacquelyn Paul, 2 great-grandchildren, Carter Franco, and Joanna Kuntch.

Brothers, Gene (Pearl) Carter of McDonald, Larry (Gerry) Carter of Southview, and Don (Carolyn) Carter of Cecil, and a Sister, Patty Guta, of GA,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Carothers and brothers, Walter, Milton, and Gerald Carter, sisters, Thelma Zimmerman, Mary Lou Gareis, Lorena Brigich, Sandy Korarosky and Ruby Carter in infancy.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Thursday, January 19 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt. 50) Cecil, PA., and on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Venice Presbyterian Church, 3694 Millers Run Road, McDonald, PA, from 11:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Gary Chorpenning officiating.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. The Family suggests donations to the Cecil #3 Ladies Auxiliary at PO Box 5, Cecil, PA 15321
