Eleanor Joyce Cross

Eleanor Joyce Cross, 81 years old of Adena, OH, formerly of Clearfield, PA died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Sunny Slope Nursing Home, Bowerston, OH.

She was born August 14, 1935 in Carnegie, daughter of the late Peter Francis and Eleanor Mae Rothwell Houy.

She was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church, attended Hopedale Presbyterian in Ohio. She was a Homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. She loved traveling to Arcadia, Fla. and spending time with family.

Surviving are her husband, Laurence Leslie Cross of Adena, OH, two sons, Larry Cross of Washington, and Leslie Cross of Adena, OH, daughter, Penny Lynn (Travis) Warren of Adena, OH, 13 grandchildren, Amy (Curtis) Price, Adam, Mason, Leslie, Jr., Brandon, Casey (Ashley), Corey (Ashley) Cross; Wayne (Renee) Zambelli, Nicole (Doug) Hurst; BJ (Erin), Andy (Laura), and Ronnie Rose, Richard (Kaitey) Warren, 19 great grandchildren, two sisters, Patty Lou (Dave) McCartney of South Fayette, Janet Keener of West Alexander, brother, Walter "Butch" Houy of Carnegie, brother-in-law, Ed Massella, and sister-in-law, Margie Houy.

She was preceded in death by sister, Cleone Massella, brother, Paul Houy, and a grandson in infancy, Dwayne Zambelli, and sister-in-law, Patty Ann Houy.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, (Rt.50) Cecil, PA. where services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Beverly Blair officiating.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
