Fred Collier, 74 years old of Cecil, died Saturday, March 31, 2018 in UPMC-Shadyside.

He was born May 6, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Son of the late George P. and Jean Jamison Collier.

He was a member of Teamsters local 341, and Cecil American Legion. He enjoyed teaching grandchildren how to fix things, shooting pool and could play with one hand behind his back. He was great at engineering projects, and restoring cars and trucks. He was very proud of his award winning 1972 El Camino.

He worked as a Superintendant for Nicholson Construction, Cuddy until his retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Sloka Collier of Cecil, two daughters, Phylliss (Eddie) Hartman, and Bobbi (Ian Brothers) Collier, a son, Fred A. (Fiancee Anita Ropele) Collier, five grandchildren, Eddie (Alex), Chelsea (Randall), Riley, Collier, and Maria (Jared), Two great grandchildren, Lydia and Jaxon, two brothers, George and John (Vivian) Collier. Also survived by his 4 grand dogs, companion Spike, Oreo, Bela, and Lugosi.

He was preceded in death by, parents, son-in-law, Bill Trainor, sister-in-law Barbara Collier, Mother and Father-in-laws, Naomi and Joseph Sloka.

At his request there will be no visitation. A celebration of his life will be held at a time in the future.
