Gloria Jean Malesky, 93, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at The Greenery in Houston.
She was born on January 25, 1933, in Westland, one of twenty-one children born to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Bolner) Merigo. She is survived by one sister and two brothers.
Gloria lived in Bridgeville for 55 years before moving to Canonsburg. She was a devoted member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary's Church of Cecil. Gloria dedicated 39 years of service to Mayview State Hospital, where she worked as a nursing assistant, caring for others with compassion and dedication.
In her spare time, Gloria loved dogs, baking cookies to share with family and friends, playing bingo, and dancing. She was a proud 17-year member of TOPS Chapter 227 of Canonsburg, where she formed many lasting friendships. She also belonged to AFSCME Union Chapter 8402 Canonsburg, Retired State Employees of Canonsburg, the former Hilltoppers, and was a member of the Altieri Bowling Team.
On January 14, 1963, she married the love of her life, Jack Malesky, who passed away on June 8, 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Charmaine Miller of Columbus, Ohio; her grandson, Jason Webeck of Eighty Four, granddaughter, Jenna Webeck of Columbus, Ohio; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was especially cherished as Aunt Gloria to Donna (Rodney) Astuto and Alayna (Jordan) Rode.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amy Webeck, and eighteen siblings.
Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said at 11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at Holy Rosary Church - St. Oscar Romero Parish. To celebrate Gloria and her vibrant spirit, guests are encouraged to wear red, her favorite color.
Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Cecil.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Washington County Humane Society.
