Harold F Cass Jr.

Harold F "Skeeter" Cass Jr., 94 years old of McDonald, PA, died February 13, 2026 at home.

He was born February 9, 1932, In Renton, son of the late Harold and Mary Borish Cass. After moving to Hill Station and graduating from Cecil High School in 1951, he joined the navy, serving four years on the USS O'Hare in the Mediterranean Sea, France, Italy, Turkey and Portugal.

On October 22, 1955, he married his high school sweetheart, Janet Forno, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Hill Station. Harold worked construction, J and L Steel, the Observer Reporter, and Pat's Hallmark Shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Joseph and William, and beloved son, David. He is survived by his wife Janet, sister Patty (George) Plance, brother Chester (Linda) Cass, daughter Terri Brown, and grandchildren Matthew Workman, Jordan Brown and Taylor Brown.

Harold attended church at St. Mary Catholic Church in Cecil. He was a member of the VFW and loved to putz around in the workshop with Budsy and Tootser.

A funeral memorial mass will be held on Thursday, Feb 19 at 12 PM at Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, 10 St. Mary Ln., Cecil, followed by interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with full military honors.
