James Andrew Weaver, 74 years old of McDonald, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 29, 1949 in Canonsburg, son of the late Thomas Lee and Norma Carter Weaver.

He was a member of Cecil Alliance Church, where he was an elder, deacon, and former youth pastor. James served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a self employed Dental Lab Technician. He enjoyed golf, horseback riding, and card games with family, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Helen Tournay Weaver of McDonald; daughters, Lori (Leo) Smitrovich of Matthews, NC; Nancy (Randal) Brown of McDonald; and Carrie Leasure of Cecil; 11 grandchildren, Jenna (Wade) Holt of Cecil; Jada (Nick) Langley of Burgettstown; Josiah Weaver of McDonald; Journey Brown of McDonald; Isaiah Leasure of Cecil; Jackson Smitrovich of Matthews, NC; Justice Brown of McDonald; Evelyn Leasure of Cecil; and Jersey; Julius; and Juna Brown all of McDonald; two brothers, Thomas L.(Kathy) Weaver of Canonsburg; Arthur 'Nick' (Elizabeth) Weaver of Marianna; and a sister Virginia (Dennis) Simon of Canonsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-7:30 PM at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321, where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM with Pastor John Patterson Officiating

Private interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
