Joylene Ann Spiller Markish, 78 years old of Avella, died Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born April 17, 1940 in Canonsburg, daughter of the late James Spiller and the late Armida Gibellino Martorana.

She graduated from Canonsburg High School in 1957, and attended Avella Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a caregiver and homemaker for many people. She was owner of the former End O' Town Restaurant and Tasty Freeze in Hickory.

Surviving are two daughters, Pamela (James) Nafziger of Salem, SC, and Tracey (Eric) Fasnacht of McDonald, a son, Bernard (Anita) Guidos of BelAir, MD, 10 grandchildren, Stacey Mayle, Jessica Bezusko, Nicole Erickson, Laura Wagner, Allison Nafziger, Natalie Carter, Chelsey Engel, Catherine Gregg, Nathaniel Hundley, and Sarah Lynch, and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by only brother James Spiller.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, (Rt.50) Cecil, PA. where service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Christopher Mathewson, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
