Judith Alexis Donata Nicola Hersh

Judith Alexis Donata Nicola Hersh, 72 years old of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in UPMC- Mercy.

She was born September 19, 1944 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Harvath Nicola.

She was a graduate of Canon McMillan High School, received her BS in education from Penn State University, and earned her Masters at University of Pittsburgh. She taught at Chartiers Valley and Canon McMillan schools. Later in life she worked for Southwest Area on Aging and HCR Manor Care as an aide and Activities director. She enjoyed baking and cooking.

Surviving are Son, Donald C. Hersh of Canonsburg, and a brother, Alex Nicola of Bishop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Hersh in 2001.

Arrangements are private and entrusted to the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3389 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
