Marjorie Irene Hartzell DeBlasio

Marjorie Irene Hartzell DeBlasio left this earth to spend eternity with the Lord and her beloved husband Sam after 66 years of wedded bliss on this earthly plane. They came to Cecil township in 1941 and resided at the same home until her death where she raised her family and was surrounded by them as she departed.

Born July 15, 1924 in Washington, a daughter of the late Harley and Virginia Rockwell Hartzell. Surviving are son Samuel (Sherry) DeBlasio, daughter Sharon Stankas, both of Houston, TX, and daughter Jennifer (Randy) Conway of Cecil Twp., six grandchildren, Tony and Nick DeBlasio, Denise Accord, Randy and David Conway, and Samantha Rice, seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren, and two sisters, Dorothy Harshman, and Jan (Tom) Gorden both of Weyers Cave, VA. Deceased are a daughter, Virginia DeBlasio, sister, Beverly Palarino, and two brothers Jack "Harley", and Bob Hartzell.

This Butterfly emerged from her cocoon and spread seeds of peace. Dementia took her mind, but left her grace, compassion, gentleness, and her ability to see beauty, intact. Her favorite word was "Lovely" and that, she was. She had an Immense force known as "Kindness". Her friends nicknamed her " The Queen". The people that created Heaven on Earth for her, were her family whom adored her, her caretakers from Caring Mission Jessie and Marta, Concordia Hospice of Washington, McMurray Meals on Wheels, and the love she felt from her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She loved unconditionally, rested in God, and put her and our lives in His hands.

Family and friends are welcome to say goodbye at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Service 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 10-11 AM at the Venice Presbyterian Church 3694 Millers Run Road. where service will be held at 11:00 AM.

Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
