Ruth Weaver Smith, 91 years old of Pittsburgh, died September 14, 2024 in Peters Township Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born June 6, 1933 in Chartiers Twp., daughter of the late Robert Dell and Sarah Mable Hastings Weaver.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Brookline and Delta Cappa Gama.

She worked as a teacher for Baldwin-Whitehall School District and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and transporting elders.

Surviving are nieces Virginia Simon, and Martha Miller; nephews Thomas, James, Nicky, David, Robert, and Rick Weaver; Roger, and Craig Boak; sister-in-law Patricia Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Thomas L. Sr. and Ritchie D. Weaver, a sister Laura "Jane" Boak, sister-in-law Norma Weaver, and a niece Susan Shurie.

Friends will be received 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt. 50), where a Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM

Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
