Shelly Ann Toth Betarie

Shelly Ann Toth Betarie , 62 of Washington, PA passed away on May 21, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born August 3, 1963, daughter of the late Edward L. and Ruth Workman Toth.

Shelly attended Canon-McMillan Sr. High School. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and cooking, especially Thanksgiving dinner. She was a passionate Steelers and Pirates fan and enjoyed watching the antics of her precious cat, Bella.

She is survived by her son, Justin Betarie of Washington, daughter, Dawn (Nicholas) Gottschalk, of McDonald, 2 grandsons, Noah and Benjamin Gottschalk, and her granddaughter, Lucille Betarie. Also surviving are her brother, Dennis Toth of Honolulu, and sisters, Tracy (Mark) Lennox of Washington, and Jamie Hancher, of Brunswick, GA, nephews Shawn and Mathew Toth, nieces Amanda (Alek) Swiger, Cheyenne (Kevin) Hackenberg, Nicole (Joshua) Riddle, Jessica Hancher, a great niece and many great nephews.

A gathering will held Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 2-3 PM at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Home located at 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321on where a memorial service will be held at 3 pm with Katlyn Taueetia, Certified Celebrant, officiating.

Followed by interment at Venice Cemetery.
