Sylvan Henry DePaoli Jr.

Sylvan Henry DePaoli Jr., 82 years old of Cecil, Pennsylvania, died on September 24, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born June 28, 1944 in Pittsburgh; son of the late Sylvan and Mary Havel DePaoli, Sr.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, Cecil.

Sylvan served in the US Army as a reservist for 6 years. He was a machinist for 53 with Glen Carbide in Carnegie.

He enjoyed music; playing baritone in the Houston Fireman's Band and Ohio Valley Community Band for a combination of 50 years. He enjoyed playing guitar with friends and family, and at the local bar, Hootananny.

Surviving are sons, Tony (Jen Mushrush) Depaoli; and Michael (Judy Kinnee) DePaoli; both of Cecil; a daughter Angela (Greg) Winnet of Charleroi; grandson Michael (Courtney) DePaoli of Claysville; great- grandsons Sylvan and Russell DePaoli;

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carole DePaoli, and sisters, Mary Lou and Ellenor.

Friends will be received 1-5 PM on Wednesday, September 30, at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Rd., Cecil, PA 15321, where a blessing service will be held at 5 PM.

Interment will be private in the Venice Cemetery.
