Theresa Julia 'Babe' Powell, 92 years old of Cecil, died May 18, 2023 in South Hills Rehabilitation and wellness Center.

She was born November 16, 1930 in Cecil, daughter of the late Edward and Mary Cherokee Powell, Sr.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, Cecil. Theresa worked non stop, for 30 years at Thorofare Markets, then was head of housekeeping and laundry at Country Meadows Nursing Home for 18 years. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, going to Casciola's and Billie Ann's diners, watching the Penguins, Steelers, and Lifetime Movies. She loved her coffee all day and Sam's Pizza, listening to polkas, and sharing time with the neighbors, and was a caregiver for others.

Surviving are many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her family, parents, brothers, George, Edward, Jr., John, and William in infancy, her sisters, Ann Cornell, Helen Nichols, Elizabeth Aston, Margaret Koceski, Mary Koch, and Clara Zulick.

A private service was held and interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
